FX Alien Earth - Season One - 2025

As a huge Alien fan I was so excited for this show. 

When the first scene opened to immediate nostalgia noises I was hopeful and watching the opening scene was first movie vibes which I was living for.

Sadly, from there it got...weird. 

Robots are a common theme in all Alien movies so it was no surprise that the main character of Wendy would be one, yet the creepy Peter Pan theme and boy genius behind it, I do not think had the effect they were going for. It just came across as, well creepy. 

One of the things that I loved has to be the creature designs. Each one had a unique look and ability which made an otherwise typical science fiction show, turn into something awesome. 

For me, being the fan I am for the Xeno's, I was serious disappointed about its role in this show. The practical effects were eye rolling in some parts and without giving much away, it became more of a side character to the main robots than an actual threat. This version of the creature was a huge disappointment for me. 

Best Episode - 4 Observation - Interesting and full of creatures.

Worst Episode - 6 The Fly - Forgettable, kills the only good character on the entire planet, dumb decision, and took way too long.

Final Thoughts

Best part eye creature, which is sad for an Alien/Xeno TV show. So sad about this one. 

Score:  6 out of 10. Probably won't watch season 2

Netflix Original Jurassic World Chaos Theory - Season 3

  Genre:  Action, Adventure, Sci-Fi, Dinosaur Action Rating:   TV-Y7 Synopsis:   The Nublar Five finds themselves in Italy, near the border, after a plane crash involving a cargo dinosaur and a familiar face, while coming to terms with Brooklyn's actions.  *** After the end of season 2 I was not looking forward to this season, but I am so glad I gave it a chance. The voice actors did a great job at continuing their growth and embodying their characters very well. Dealing with the aftermath of season 2 there is a lot of talking and as my hubby pointed out, a lot of teen angst, even though I'm pretty sure the characters are supposed to be in their early twenties. I did defend them on this front as the situations they were dealing with would throw off people much older. Just keep in mind a lot of talking.
