Send Help - 2026

Image
Genre:  Horror, Comedy Rating:   R Synopsis:  A woman and her overbearing boss become stranded on a deserted island after a plane crash. They must overcome past grievances and work together to survive, but ultimately, it's a battle of wills and wits to make it out alive. *** Just by watching the trailer and seeing the amazing talent we were dealing with I was hooked. It did not disappoint.  Without spoilers I can not go into to much detail, but I will say Rachel McAdams performance was just as unnerving as it was from the trailer. You definitely root for her in the beginning with the bullying and though I love Dylan O'Brien, his character is a massive *insert bad word here*.  Both actors just devoured these roles and left you without any doubt that they were suffering in that place. I have never seen a greater performance on an island setting since Tom Hanks and Wilson, though I think his character would not have lasted long with these two.  I w...

Solo Mio - 2026

Image
Genre:  Romance, Comedy Rating:   PG Synopsis:  A wedding disaster leaves a groom stranded in Rome, heartbroken in the world's happiest city. However, with help from a determined local and a few meddling couples, his ruined honeymoon becomes an adventure that he never expected. *** Kevin James always a pleasure to see and we love watching Angel Studios in our home, so when I saw the trailer I was already intrigued. I am so glad I gave it a chance.  Great date night movie. It has all the aspects you would want in a romantic movie. It is both funny, romantic and heartbreaking with quirky characters and some laugh out loud moments All I can say about the cast is just perfection. Each actor matched the character exactly how you would think they should. Of course, huge shout out to Kevin James as he holds your attention during all trials and adventures.  No spoilers but mindbending twist at the end.  Final Thoughts As a date night movie with someone ...

May The 4th Be With You - Stars Wars Review - All Movies

Image
For May 4th, 2026 I decided to do something a little different. My opinion on all Star Wars movies in release order.  *There may be spoilers if you haven't seen them all* Star Wars: A New Hope (1977)    Score :  8 out of 10.  - Sets up and explains the world perfectly and even though the story details different aspects it wraps it up nicely with a bow. If no other movies were made this would have been a great stand alone.  The Empire Strikes Back (1980)   Score: 7 out of 10.  - Introduction of AT-AT walkers and accounts for the real life injury of Mark Hamill. Yoda introduction. Could not be stand alone as it leave it on a cliff hanger with no idea what happened to Han. Weakest of the original 3 in my opinion but still had great moments.  Return of the Jedi (1983)  Score: 9 out of 10.  - For me this movie was and still is epic. It included all the characters we loved in the others, as well as some incredible action sequences...

Elio - 2025

Image
Genre:  Animation, Adventure, Comedy, Family, Fantasy Rating:   PG Synopsis:  E leven-year-old Elio is mistaken for the intergalactic ambassador of Earth after being beamed up to the Communiverse by aliens after making contact and must navigate a crisis that involves the warlord Grigon. *** Breathtaking visuals right from the start with enough of an adventure story to keep the interest, though a little basic and predictable to adults, kids will love it. The voice acting is spot on for each and every character, but special shout out has to be given to Yonas Kibreab as Elio Solís and Remy Edgerly as Glordon, who play the lead roles and are absolutely adorable. These two really made you feel deeply and root for both characters early on.  Final Thoughts Overall it was a good family movie and a nice space adventure. It won't win awards but its a good time.  Score:  7 out of 10. Recommend for family movie night. Always Keep Fighting.  Y...
