Netflix Original Jurassic World Chaos Theory - Season 3

Synopsis:  The Nublar Five finds themselves in Italy, near the border, after a plane crash involving a cargo dinosaur and a familiar face, while coming to terms with Brooklyn's actions.

After the end of season 2 I was not looking forward to this season, but I am so glad I gave it a chance.

The voice actors did a great job at continuing their growth and embodying their characters very well.

Dealing with the aftermath of season 2 there is a lot of talking and as my hubby pointed out, a lot of teen angst, even though I'm pretty sure the characters are supposed to be in their early twenties. I did defend them on this front as the situations they were dealing with would throw off people much older. Just keep in mind a lot of talking.

With all the storylines and talking, this does leave room for a few dinosaurs but not enough in my opinion. Though I did appreciate another connection to the movie franchise by the seasons end.

Best Episode - Villa Paradiso - I'll just say Smoothie and leave it at that. 

Worst Episode - Active Pursuit - For me this either should have been longer to finish the season or removed as it was just each person going somewhere but not getting there. Very much filler for me.

There were some funny, heartfelt and intense moments so overall I'm glad I watched it at least once. Though leaving it open for another season, I am not sure is the right move. Though I love the characters I think their part in the franchise should be done with now.

Final Thoughts

It wasn't awful, like season 2, but it still had those eye roll moments and as I mentioned above leaving it open for another season I just don't think is necessary any more for these characters. Although if they wanted to have the campers make a cameo in the new movie, it would be pretty epic. 

Score: 6.5 out of 10. Watchable once but not something I would revisit.

Thor: Love and Thunder - 2022

  Genre: Action, Adventure, Comedy Rating:  PG-13 Synopsis:  Thor enlists the help of Valkyrie, Korg, and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster to fight Gorr the God Butcher, who intends to make the gods extinct. Right off the bat, this movie shows that it means business. Backstory on 'villains' is usually hit or miss but in this case, I kinda need to be on Bale's side. The heartbreak and revelation would crush anyone and honestly, I don't blame him for his initial decision.  I personally love Christian Bale yet at times his character came across as just creepy and not really scary or much of a threat. Although the fights were pretty cool.  The creature design is excellent from what we get to see. Personally, I wish we could see a lot more of them.  The Jane storyline was a little mixed up and not really necessary for the movie in my opinion. Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous - Season 5 - Netflix Original

Genre: Animation, Action, Adventure, Family, Science Fiction Rating: TV PG Synopsis: Teens attending an adventure camp on the opposite side of Isla Nublar must band together to survive when dinosaurs wreak havoc on the island. Previous seasons do need to be watched to understand the relationships between the group and what they've been through so far.  If you've seen the Jurassic World movies, including the most recent it will add some missing details but it's not necessary to watch them before.  I would recommend watching the Jurassic World Dominion movie before the last episode so that some revelations during the show will make sense and will avoid spoilers if you haven't seen the movie.  Season 5 is the last season so it had high expectations to finish with a bang and wrap up any loose ends.
