Being the huge Bad Boys fan I am, I was excited to hear about this one.
Right out the gate, we’re back with the boys driving fast with their usual banter and I was living for it. They were not playing around and within the first few minutes, I was freaking out. The plot played out beautifully and with the right amount of tension, though knowing some of the actors it was not a stretch to predict some upcoming events.
Will Smith as Mike and Martin Lawrence as Marcus are a classic combination that just works in this type of setting. I secretly hope they continue these movies for years to come.
The most recent cast members Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, Jacob Scipio, and Paola Nunez who joined during the last movie, all returned for this installment playing their respective characters perfectly. I would definitely want all of them on my team.
Individual shout out to Dennis Greene who plays Reggie. I will just say Incoming scene and damn. I salute you, sir!
The banter and action scenes are where this series thrives and this addition was no exception. I loved that they did not shy away from the deep connections they have forged while having the jokes land perfectly at the same time. The action scenes were thrilling and really had you rooting for the boys once again in each scenario.
Final Thoughts
Overall I really loved this movie. The Bad Boys franchise is exactly what you think it is and stays doing what it does best. Please never change this formula.
Score: 8 out of 10. Highly recommend it if you love the series. Absolutely will be in my collection.
Always Keep Fighting.
You Are Enough.
