Loki 2021 - Season 1

 Genre: Action, Adventure, Fantasy, Sci-Fi

Rating: TV 14

Synopsis: The mercurial villain Loki resumes his role as the God of Mischief in a new series that takes place after the events of “Avengers: Endgame.”

If you are unfamiliar with Avengers Endgame then this TV show will make little sense. Although that being said time travel always has very confusing situations come up. After Endgame it was already confusing how they would proceed with a Loki TV show. However watching the first episode, they have a clear idea, and honestly, it works.

Just like Hawkeye, this season is only six episodes, which as a huge Loki fan was a massive disappointment. I'm not sure why they classed Hawkeye as a mini-series and this as a season but whatever.

The first episode was pretty emotional, action-packed, and brought in some new characters that are both intriguing and mysterious. With all of the revelations over the course of the series, I thought the first episode was by far the best.

As the story progresses the time travel, multiple dimensions, and different variants cause more action, mystery, and extremely hilarious, and emotional moments.

Tom Hiddleston is clearly the best part of the entire show, and since he is the main character I would hope he would be. The other cast members also do a great job. I was pleasantly surprised by Own Wilson. His usual make jokes about everything are set aside as this new character has the same smiling face but a somewhat unnerving way of getting psychological with Loki.

Final Thoughts

Overall I did like the series and I'm intrigued as to where they will take it from here. I always find time travel stuff confusing at times and with all the extra multiple dimensions added it was hard to follow at times for me personally. My husband however was able to explain what I missed so I didn't worry too much about it. This TV show hit all the right notes and at the right time, whether it was emotional, funny, or just action.

7 out of 10. Recommend for all Loki/Marvel fans.

Always Keep Fighting.

You Are Enough.
