The Lost City 2022

 



Genre: Action, Adventure, and Comedy

Rating: PG-13 for violence and some bloody images, suggestive material, partial nudity, and language.

Synopsis:  A reclusive romance novelist on a book tour with her cover model gets swept up in a kidnapping attempt that lands them both in a cutthroat jungle adventure.

I'm both a published author and a huge movie lover so this movie, immediately when I saw the trailer spoke to me on many levels. I got reminded of other authors going on adventures like Nim's Island and Romancing the Stone. Needless to say, I had high hopes. Still, I went into the movie holding my breath. 

I am so relieved that this movie was freaking awesome. Every single person involved in this movie should win awards. There was action, comedy, romance, villains, and everything in between. My hubby loved the movie as well but felt a little disappointed towards the end. The great plot through out and I loved how the story progressed. 

The cast was incredible from the amazing Sandra Bullock, gorgeous Channing Tatum, and Daniel Radcliffe. I always worry about Daniel Radcliffe playing the bad guy, yet every time he pulls it off and this time was no exception. Everyone played their parts to perfection and though it could be said cheesy at times it did not pull away from the storyline. 


Final Thoughts. 

Clearly, I'm in love with this movie and without question, I will buy this as soon as I can. Highly recommend it to anyone who loves action, adventure-type movies and has any type of love for the other authors going on adventures type movies. You will not be disappointed. 9 out of 10.

Cabinet of Curiosities - 2022 Netflix Original

  Genre:  Drama, Horror, Mystery Rating:  TV-MA Synopsis:  Bizarre nightmares unfold in eight tales of terror in a visually stunning, spine-tingling horror collection curated by Guillermo del Toro. As a huge fan of Guillermo del Toro, I had high hopes for this. The opening is visually stunning and the music reminds me of the nightmare before Christmas.  There are some huge stars present and regardless of the story, I personally think everyone did an incredible job showing each character. The problem with a collection of short stories, such as this, is you run into a time problem. Some stories did not get enough time, while others wasted time on things that did not progress fast enough for the time allotted.  Here is a quick breakdown of my thoughts for each episode.  Lot 36 - A very slow start and quick end. Lots of build up very little reward, but the monster was cool. 6 out of 10. Graveyard Rats - Very cool visuals, great story, and straight to the point. Great creature design. 8

Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous - Season 5 - Netflix Original

Genre: Animation, Action, Adventure, Family, Science Fiction Rating: TV PG Synopsis: Teens attending an adventure camp on the opposite side of Isla Nublar must band together to survive when dinosaurs wreak havoc on the island. Previous seasons do need to be watched to understand the relationships between the group and what they've been through so far.  If you've seen the Jurassic World movies, including the most recent it will add some missing details but it's not necessary to watch them before.  I would recommend watching the Jurassic World Dominion movie before the last episode so that some revelations during the show will make sense and will avoid spoilers if you haven't seen the movie.  Season 5 is the last season so it had high expectations to finish with a bang and wrap up any loose ends. With a total of  12 episodes, this time around I did think it was the perfect amount, with the exception of Episode 5 which I thought was pretty much a filler.  Worse: Episode
