Spider-Man: No Way Home 2021

Synopsis: With Spider-Man's identity now revealed, our friendly neighborhood web-slinger is unmasked and no longer able to separate his normal life as Peter Parker from the high stakes of being a superhero. When Peter asks for help from Doctor Strange, the stakes become even more dangerous, forcing him to discover what it truly means to be Spider-Man.

After the final scene of the last spiderman movie I have to admit I was not looking forward to this one. I had no idea how they were going to move forward after Peter was outed as the friendly neighborhood spiderman. In all honesty, I put off watching this for the longest time because of it, and now I, one million percent, regret waiting. 

Tom Holland is a fantastic spiderman. This movie shows his acting skills on many levels and not just the over-the-top teen-in-love stereotype. Zendaya crushes the role of MJ and who can forget the best friend, Ned, played by Jacob Batalon. Each of them reprises their role and makes the character come alive in each crazy situation they find themselves in. 

The plot in this movie definitely has its weird moments, yet I feel that overall it works with what the characters are wanting to achieve. There are some great laugh-out-loud moments, gut-wrenching sad ones, and ones where I couldn't help but cheer. 

The cinematography is just breathtaking and the special effects are on point, though pretty noticeable in most scenes. Surprisingly the obvious CGI in my opinion didn't take away from the scenes and added to them. 

Without giving away any spoilers, though I'm sure by now most are out, there are some scenes later in the movie that pulled at my heartstrings and made me cry with tears of joy while living in a moment of nostalgia. 

For this and many others in my opinion this was the best spiderman movie that has been made to date. It had aspects of all the ones that had come before it while remaining tried and true to the Tom Holland version of the web-slinger. 

I will say since it is Marvel be sure to hang around after the credits for two small scenes that will make you smile. 

Final Thoughts.

As you can tell I really and truly ended up loving this movie. Everyone brought their characters to life and showed what an amazing movie-making team can create. I appreciated all of the cameos and even without them, it would have been a fantastic movie with everything else combined. Definitely redeemed itself from the last in my opinion. 

8 out of 10. Highly recommend.

Cabinet of Curiosities - 2022 Netflix Original

  Genre:  Drama, Horror, Mystery Rating:  TV-MA Synopsis:  Bizarre nightmares unfold in eight tales of terror in a visually stunning, spine-tingling horror collection curated by Guillermo del Toro. As a huge fan of Guillermo del Toro, I had high hopes for this. The opening is visually stunning and the music reminds me of the nightmare before Christmas.  There are some huge stars present and regardless of the story, I personally think everyone did an incredible job showing each character. The problem with a collection of short stories, such as this, is you run into a time problem. Some stories did not get enough time, while others wasted time on things that did not progress fast enough for the time allotted.  Here is a quick breakdown of my thoughts for each episode.  Lot 36 - A very slow start and quick end. Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous - Season 5 - Netflix Original

Genre: Animation, Action, Adventure, Family, Science Fiction Rating: TV PG Synopsis: Teens attending an adventure camp on the opposite side of Isla Nublar must band together to survive when dinosaurs wreak havoc on the island. Previous seasons do need to be watched to understand the relationships between the group and what they've been through so far.  If you've seen the Jurassic World movies, including the most recent it will add some missing details but it's not necessary to watch them before.  I would recommend watching the Jurassic World Dominion movie before the last episode so that some revelations during the show will make sense and will avoid spoilers if you haven't seen the movie.  Season 5 is the last season so it had high expectations to finish with a bang and wrap up any loose ends. With a total of  12 episodes, this time around I did think it was the perfect amount, with the exception of Episode 5 which I thought was pretty much a filler.  Worse: Episode
