***

I was not overwhelmed by the trailer of this movie, but thought I would give it a try.

First impressions of the movie felt very much like Nim’s Island. Single parent on an island, raising a child and something happens to the adult causing the child to have an adventure in the process.

With the rating it did become somewhat predictable to adults, however I believe that kids up to 14 may love this show. I think that adults should try to embrace the imagination of this as I know that most will have forgotten that feeling.

The cast did a great job with their respective characters but special shout out has to go to Marlow Barkley as Nemo and Chris O’Dowd as Uncle Phillip. Though I think the other cast members did a great job, those two really became their counterparts and displayed amazing acting chops.

Does the story have a great message? Yes. It was very funny and heartfelt.

Are the visuals stunning and pulled you into the dream realm? Yes, absolutely.

I simply worry about the rewatchability with this one as once you have seen the ending once it will not have the same pull in follow ups. That being said it is a great adventure with amazing visuals.

Final Thoughts

Overall I did like this movie. It is a simple family movie with great visuals. However, I do think that it may struggle with an adult audience. And I do not think it would be a good rewatch movie.

Score: 7 out of 10. Stunning visuals and heartfelt story but not sure on the rewatchability.

Always Keep Fighting.

You Are Enough.
