If you watched the trailer then you know most of what the movie entails, however, I promise it is way more than what you think. Seeing the first trailer for this movie I thought it gave off Iron Giant and Wall-E types and I was not entirely far off.
Though I was hesitant to watch this one at first, The Wild Robot was a good story overall. Roz's journey felt very natural and did not come across as exaggerated, more than a robot in the wild would be. There are some very funny moments, mixed in with some very emotional ones. There is cheer out loud moments and others that make you gasp.
Watching everything unfold from Roz's perspective was absolutely the best direction for this movie and the cinematography was just breathtaking in places. Such a beautiful movie inside and out.
Each actor did an incredible job with their vocals in these roles and though most I did not recognize, Pedro Pascal as Fink was unmistakeable. Fink and Roz have the best relationship that is developed over the course of the movie and it was simply a joy to watch.
Final Thoughts
I honestly feel like the visuals alone in this movie would be worth awards, and the mixing in the amazing vocal talents and the overall good story I think it is a winner.
Overall 8 out of 10. Recommend definitely purchasing this one.
