Honestly, I had high hopes for this one even though it is a sequel. I was right to believe in the power of

Venom.

Right off the bat, I have to give a huge shout-out to Cletus, Woody Harrelson, and Frances, Naomie Harris, as they are an amazing power couple. Both brought an enormous range of emotions to their relationship and as individual characters. They knew how they wanted their characters to come across and they were played perfectly. Even the smallest facial expression conveyed the love and craziness hidden below the surface.

The plot was an interesting way to introduce a new symbiote without having more spaceships or astronauts involved. I am not familiar with the comics so I can not say for the accuracy, but it was a great overall storyline. The reveal of the Carnage character did not disappoint and lived up to his name beautifully.

Tom Hardy, as last time, plays both Eddie and Venom perfectly. I could watch just the two of them hanging out for the day and have a great time. Michelle Williams, Anne, brings the human element and reacts understandably to the crazy situations they end up in.

For those familiar with Marvel movies I highly recommend staying for the credits as there is a scene that ties in nicely with another familiar face. There is also a scene towards the end of the movie that seemed like a comic reference that just seemed out of place, but as I said it was clear it may be a reference so it was easy to accept as it may become clearer later.

Final Thoughts:

This made a great addition to the Marvel Universe and seeing Venom is always a good time in this form. Tom was born to play this role, just like some of the other characters/actors we love.

Score: 9 out of 10. Highly recommend. Can’t wait to see what comes next.

Always Keep Fighting.

You Are Enough.
