Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga - 2024

Genre:  Action, Sci-Fi

Rating:  R

Synopsis:  The origin story of renegade warrior Furiosa before her encounter and team-up with Mad Max.

***

Right off the bat, I admit I am one of the people who liked the Mad Max remake, Fury Road.
Selecting Anya Taylor-Joy as the key character, Furiosa, was a great choice as she could easily pass for a younger,
Charlize Theron, just from her facial expressions alone. The similarities did not end there as she crushed the role.
I also have to shout out, Chris  Hemsworth, who did a fantastic job. I was so happy to see him in another type of role
and embracing his inner villain.
I do have to say it was not the worst movie I have ever seen. The world-building was great and added more
crews/groups that were interesting to see and how they differentiated from the ones we had already met.
I will say that this story covers the time of Furiosa being a very small child right up to the time she appears in
Fury Road so the runtime has a lot of years to cover. Understandably they could not include everything, however,
it also felt like a few scenes were missing that would have added to Furiosa’s journey. Nothing that would have
altered the story much, just a few little scenes that would have filled in a few holes that would have taken just a
minute or two to show.
Final Thoughts
Personally, if you like the first one you'll like it and some great action sequences. The cast did great and had a
good time, which came across in the final product. I did prefer Fury Road to this one, simply because Mad Max
was not a part of it, but it was still overall a great ride.
Score: 7 out of 10. Recommend if you liked Fury Road. Potentially, I will own this.

Always Keep Fighting.

You Are Enough.
