***

I love Camp Creatous so I was excited to know what happened to the Nublar 6. This was not what I had in mind and I am not sure how I feel about it.

There are a total of 10 Episodes each running around 24 minutes each. I found this to be a good balance, yet with more detailed storytelling it could have been extended but I see they wanted to keep the same pace.

Each of the characters brought new life to their roles showing the maturity of the years that have passed since we last saw them. I was disappointed that they were not close in the first episode after what they had been through but they were quick to explain the why behind it so at least it was not dragged out.

I liked the new look of each character having their ‘glow up’ but I felt that they let down Kenji in a big way. Though he still looked similar to his younger self I felt his personality and look that was set up in the original show was not the same here. He had so much more potential.

Plenty of dinosaur action throughout that I was so pleased to see. And seeing a few old friends just hit the nostalgia button hard.

It is hard to not give away spoilers when discussing one of the 6 that is missing throughout the entire season, but if you know who I mean then you have watched the show.

When watching TV shows and Movies if they mention something about a character more than 3 times then it is not true. For example, if you say a character is ‘missing’, so many times that even the audience is eye-rolling, I’m sorry but we know at that point they are dead and not just missing. (looking at you Sophia from The Walking Dead). That said, it all turned around in the last few moments of the show, voiding the entire plot point. Such a waste of screen time.

Best episode - The End of the Beginning Episode 10 - wrapped up everything nicely, with great action

Worst episode - That Night Episode 7 - felt like a filler while everyone was getting to another location.

Final Thoughts

Overall I did like this show. It was so nice seeing everyone again and I was still rooting for them the entire time. For the most part, it felt like a good addition to the franchise.

Score: 7 out 10. Re-watchability is low for me on this one, but I will watch season 2.

Always Keep Fighting.

You Are Enough.
