Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness - 2022

Rating: PG 13

Synopsis: Doctor Strange teams up with a mysterious teenage girl from his dreams who can travel across multiverses, to battle multiple threats, including other-universe versions of himself, which threaten to wipe out millions across the multiverse. They seek help from Wanda the Scarlet Witch, Wong, and others.

Another addition to the marvel universe and now we're back with Dr. Strange. Right from the start, Dr. Strange's appearance was distracting. I don't know if they were having issues with a wig or just couldn't decide on a style but it was weird looking and not in a good way. 

However, straight away I want to give huge props to each actor/actress. They did their best with what they were given and it showed, even when the other elements were not the best. 

The most amazing aspect in my opinion was the creatures. Each time a new one was introduced they just took it to another level. Sadly the script was lacking and the new superhero had immense power but was extremely vulnerable. They were overpowered more than a few times and towards the end, it was clear that the writers were just ready for a showdown. Super predictable and definite eye roll. 

Since we're dealing with the multiverse there are clearly alternative multiverse characters. Unfortunately, though they were entertaining, most were just fanfare. A few of them did cause me to cheer but it was short-lived thanks to the writing. They didn't add much to the storyline and just distracted the viewer from the trainwreck. 

6 out 10. Do Not Recommend. They may refer back to the events of this movie in the future, but I feel like whatever Dr. Strange says to explain it will really be all you need.

Cabinet of Curiosities - 2022 Netflix Original

  Genre:  Drama, Horror, Mystery Rating:  TV-MA Synopsis:  Bizarre nightmares unfold in eight tales of terror in a visually stunning, spine-tingling horror collection curated by Guillermo del Toro. As a huge fan of Guillermo del Toro, I had high hopes for this. The opening is visually stunning and the music reminds me of the nightmare before Christmas.  There are some huge stars present and regardless of the story, I personally think everyone did an incredible job showing each character. The problem with a collection of short stories, such as this, is you run into a time problem. Some stories did not get enough time, while others wasted time on things that did not progress fast enough for the time allotted.  Here is a quick breakdown of my thoughts for each episode.  Lot 36 - A very slow start and quick end. Lots of build up very little reward, but the monster was cool. 6 out of 10. Graveyard Rats - Very cool visuals, great story, and straight to the point. Great creature design. 8

Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous - Season 5 - Netflix Original

Genre: Animation, Action, Adventure, Family, Science Fiction Rating: TV PG Synopsis: Teens attending an adventure camp on the opposite side of Isla Nublar must band together to survive when dinosaurs wreak havoc on the island. Previous seasons do need to be watched to understand the relationships between the group and what they've been through so far.  If you've seen the Jurassic World movies, including the most recent it will add some missing details but it's not necessary to watch them before.  I would recommend watching the Jurassic World Dominion movie before the last episode so that some revelations during the show will make sense and will avoid spoilers if you haven't seen the movie.  Season 5 is the last season so it had high expectations to finish with a bang and wrap up any loose ends. With a total of  12 episodes, this time around I did think it was the perfect amount, with the exception of Episode 5 which I thought was pretty much a filler.  Worse: Episode
