Jurassic World Dominion 2022
Genre: Action, Adventure, Science Fiction
Rating: PG-13 for intense sequences of action, some violence, and language
Synopsis: Four years after the destruction of Isla Nublar, dinosaurs now live--and hunt--alongside humans all over the world. This fragile balance will reshape the future and determine, once and for all, whether human beings are to remain the apex predators on a planet they now share with history's most fearsome creatures in a new Era.
As the synopsis states, this movie is based on the events that occurred in the previous one, Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom. You will definitely need to know what happened in the last movie before seeing this one.
From the moment I saw the trailer I knew we were in for a fantastic ride and our family are huge fans of the series. My son especially is one of the biggest fans of the franchise I've ever met. That being said I'm going to be completely honest with my review.
Seeing Alan, Ellie and Malcolm were a joy and the actors stepped right back into their roles with ease. It was great watching them interact with the new generation of characters with the same characteristics that we fell in love with from the first movie. The returning characters of Owen and Clare were also amazing and seeing everyone together just made my heart happy.
Sadly as the story progressed it was clear that the original trio did very little to the plot and honestly were not really needed. Owen and Claire could have easily been in situations showing the information they provided. Instead, the original three were included in the story to help the franchise for the fanbase. As I stated they all did an amazing job and it was great to see everyone together so, in the end, it worked.
Now on to my favorite part, the dinosaurs. The special effects as always were just incredible. The creatures interacted with their surroundings as you would think they should without exception. Of course, a few new dinos were thrown into the mix, and just WOW. The designs they have are just breathtaking...literally. Without spoilers, there was one specific scene where I was literally holding my breath.
Epic.
Final Thoughts
You can probably tell I loved the movie and I really did. Overall the action, emotion, and dinosaurs were just incredible and definitely worth buying once available. It just made me sad that the original trio was not really needed for the story, but it was still great to see them.
9 out of 10. Highly Recommend. Dino lovers rejoice.
Always Keep Fighting.
You Are Enough.
