The Matrix Resurrections 2021

Genres:   Action, Sci-Fi Rated  R Synopsis:  Return to a world of two realities: one, everyday life; the other, what lies behind it. To find out if his reality is a construct, to truly know himself, Mr. Anderson will have to choose to follow the white rabbit once more. So before I go into this I just wanted it known that I love Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, and the other cast members of the original Matrix movie. The 2nd, Matrix Reloaded, and 3rd, Matrix Revolutions, movies were hit or miss as far as I'm concerned, as both had good and bad points.  Sadly this new movie was 10% amazing and a huge 90% meh.  I can understand in some respects what they were trying to achieve, and some scenes in particular, mostly with Keanu and Carrie-Anne were amazing. Unfortunately, they came after an incredibly slow start and middle and with little reward towards the end.  Keanu and Carrie-Anne did an amazing job with their scenes. Spider-Man: No Way Home 2021

Genres: Action, Adventure, Fantasy, Sci-Fi Rated PG-13  Synopsis:  With Spider-Man's identity now revealed, our friendly neighborhood web-slinger is unmasked and no longer able to separate his normal life as Peter Parker from the high stakes of being a superhero. When Peter asks for help from Doctor Strange, the stakes become even more dangerous, forcing him to discover what it truly means to be Spider-Man. After the final scene of the last spiderman movie I have to admit I was not looking forward to this one. I had no idea how they were going to move forward after Peter was outed as the friendly neighborhood spiderman.  In all honesty, I put off watching this for the longest time because of it, and now I, one million percent, regret waiting.  Tom Holland is a fantastic spiderman. This movie shows his acting skills on many levels and not just the over-the-top teen-in-love stereotype. Zendaya crushes the role of MJ and who can forget the best friend, Ned, played by Jacob Batalon.

The Requin 2022

Genre:   Horror, Thriller Rating: R Synopsis:  A couple on a romantic getaway find themselves stranded at sea when a tropical storm sweeps away their villa. In order to survive, they are forced to fight the elements, while sharks circle below. This R-rated shark fest is definitely more than it first appeared. Those looking for an all-out people vs sharks show will be surprised. While there is shark action with some very scary, tension-filled moments thrown in. There are also many more honest conversations about life, heartbreak, and a couple just trying to figure things out. Seriously, they talk way more than the shark action, so just be prepared. Speaking of the sharks and the shark action. The CGI throughout is very limited, so do not expect state-of-the-art details. Towards the end of the movie, it gets worse. And I mean bad. To where it almost takes away from the tension and the last act because of it. Also, being a huge fan of survival video games and survival thin
